24. Pressure

Valentines Day has too much pressure if you ask me. Whats the big deal? When I was single and in High School I always felt so ' oh, poor me blah blah', but that just gets old. The last few years its become a lot easier to just plan something low key. It turns out that it's usually the best way to actually enjoy the day ( even more so when it lands on a workday/night)! My Fiance and I kinda of love to be at home anyway, so it works for us.  Kinda males you realize you found the right guy, when all we need to do is be at home to be happy. <3 So after work the night consisted of me throwing a paper airplane love note across the office, beers after work, uno, and burgers ! All in all, a pretty awesome night. Don't you think? Here area  few Instagram photo's from the day. <3

My attempt at making my all black outfit look Valentine's day appropriate. ( pink nails and jacket!)

I hope everyone had a great day no matter how you choose to look at Valentine's Day.

23. Girlie

Normally, I feel like dress a bit edgy, or even manly at times. That can tend to drive a girl into a serious style rut. I for one get tired of even my own ways of dressing after a few months of the same items in rotation. With spring on its way again ( seems to already be here in California) I wanted to embrace more girlie colors , soft lines, and flirty embellishments. I really loved ASOS's ( uhh do you pluralize that? haha)' Sitting Pretty ' spread, it pretty much embodied my need for adorable, feminine, yet still age appropriate clothing. I still think I would trow on a pair of black boots and leather jacket with most of these outfit. I still can't break my old habits. ;)

Happy to say I also recently picked my bridesmaid dresses from this store as well. Needless to say I'm a fan of the online retailer.

Tomorrow marks 7 months till the best day of my life!!! As well as my handsome Fiance's 29th Birthday! Going to celebrate with some french food and a camping trip to , Big Basin on Friday!

22.

For some reason I had a really hard time trying to title today's post. So I opted not to! Oh well, can't win them all.

I wanted to talk about wedding dresses. Also the fact I finally bought mine! I don't know about you other girls out there, but that finding one was truly hard for me. Being the picky girl that I am, I knew this would be the case. With that in mind, I tried to prepare myself as well as possible by looking at as many dresses online as I could. The idea of buying a wedding dress actually terrified me. I was so afraid of picking something I would end up hating by my wedding day. ( I change my mind on an hourly basis about things mind you.) So this was by far the hardest of all the wedding decisions to make. Okay, maybe the guest list is harder. People REALLY like to invite themselves to weddings it turns out.

Back on topic. Exactly a year before our wedding, I tried on my first dresses. Visiting 3 places in 1 day, and coming out of it thinking I had found THE dress. WRONG! I'm glad after that day I decided to give myself a few months to ponder over it to make sure it was really the one. After a few weeks of not being able to bring myself to stop looking, I decided I actually really disliked the dress. It had elements I was looking for, but it wasn't me. So back to square one.

A few more weeks go by, and now find myself actually avoiding going back. After a little push from my Fiance and a few phone calls to my Mom, aunt, and older sister I had my next appointment. I decided to go back to the first boutique I went to. They were having a Watters trunk show, and how can you pass up 10% off?!?! I couldn't! Well, my budget couldn't!

Knowing a little more about what I wanted I told them the dresses from the collection I had my eye on, so we grabbed a few and got started. 3 was my lucky number. The second I put the dress on, I just knew. It was exactly how they said it would be in all the stories. I don't think I had even made it out of the dressing room before my mind was made up. I was so upset having to take it off!
It's still a little hard to not look at pretty new dresses online, but I'm incredibly happy with my decision.

Sorry for such a lengthy post! I don't think I could have made it any shorter! I can't thank Christine and  Epiphany Boutique enough for how great of an experience I had. So fun and relaxing. It doesn't hurt she offers free alterations and a custom made veil with every dress purchase. A nice veil alone can cost you! If you click the link you can look at her blog and see the top half of my dress! So Greg, if you read this... NO PEAKING!! My sister and I are the second picture down!

Okay, I'll stop now.

18. A New Year

2011 is now gone, and a new year has taken it's place. I think for now I'll leave last year where it belongs. In the past. So no post about my non-eventful yet fun NYE.

Nothing can top last years anyway. Being proposed to is by far the best way to spend such a night! So major props to my Fiance for coming up with such great plans, and doing just that. For those of you not around ( and because I frankly just want to relive that day a little), I'm doing a recap of last NYE .

One year ago, on NYE...
Okay, super cheesy way to start, oh well.
So, January 31, 2010 we left for our favorite city, San Francisco. All the while I was thinking it was just a regular weekend get away, boy was I wrong. The boy had a lot planned! For some reason, the morning of this day practically slips my memory completely! I'm guessing because the rest of the day was so magical. I remember getting pizza for lunch... and that seems to be it. What I do remember is how he dropped me off to get get one of the best mani-pedi's I've ever had! Why was i not putting things together at this point?! NYE trip to my favorite place? Being pampered? Man, I am sure slow! Next we took a walk down Haight St to find Greg a beanie, where he insisted we go for a walk in Golden Gate Park next. I on the other hand was anxious to our hotel and check in so I could get dolled up for the night! So with little fight I decided the walk in the park could still fit in!

Let's just say, I'm glad I did.

With ring in pocket, camera in hand, we set of on a little walk. After finding the perfect spot he asked me if we wanted to make a New Years video to share with our friends in family. He set up the tripod, asked me to go stand in the frame to make sure we could both be seen and joined me on the little grassy hill he had found. Needless to say, he poured his heart out, dropped to one knee, and pulled the most amazing ring out of his pocket. I cried, we laughed... and of course I said yes. I never thought I would be this lucky. Or to have it all on video!

The rest of the night was amazing. I could hardly keep myself from crying almost the entire evening. I felt like my heart was bursting I was so happy! We went to the best bar Bourbon and Branch( you need a password to even get in!), and ate some of the most delicious french food at Bistro Central Park. Perfect in my eyes. I feel so lucky sometimes.

 ^^^ this was the spot!!
Just a few pictures from that day!

As for resolutions this year, planning a wedding is my top priority. I takes a lot of work! I feel like it could almost be my job! Others include :
•Becoming more fit
•Cooking more
•Sew more
•and to try and be as happy as possible!

Happy New Year !
